Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

when can i get rid of someones personal belongs, left behind in my home while they were guest, after they have left? And how does the law define abandoned? After contact has been attempted with no response.

You should give the person a firm deadline and inform him/her that if they don't claim their property within that deadline, you will consider it abandoned and dispose of it. Send them a letter or an email so you have a written record.
