Re: Specific Performance

Specific performance is what you would ask a court to order someone with whom you have made an agreement to do to live up to their obligations under the agreement. For example, let's say you signed a contract to purchase a car from someone and when you went to pay the money they refused to sign over the title. You could sue them and ask the court to order them to sign over the title. You would be seeking specific performance of the contract through a lawsuit.
