i'm very upset. my mail never showed up, can i sue the post office for losing my mail? and under what conditions can i sue them exactly for? thanks.

Such a suit would not be successful. You should visit the distribution center for your address, which you can find on usps.com, and speak to one of the customer relations people to get the problem straightened out. Perhaps you need to file an address correction form.
