Legal Question in Health Care Law in Maryland

feather in my food

one week ago while at a large restaurant chain while eating my salad i felt something hard in my mouth. I pulled it out and realized it was a feather. For the last week I can eat nothing without getting sick, and I have no desire to eat. I'm feeling very weak, im very disgusted, and while vomitting in the bathroom afterwards i was humiliated when to women also in the bathroom were saying ''Did you see that girl? No wonder she's so skinny'' and when I walked out the same two women were whispering I assume telling their friends. I'd like to know if I can make a lawsuite here and what else I can do.

Re: feather in my food

Foreign objects in food may cause asymptomatic responses. In Maryland, a case for emotional distress requires a showing of damages. The comment made by the other customer's is an entirely different matter. Where your health was otherwise affected, such cases may be settled with the establishment. An applicable question is, "Does the particular restaurant have a record of health code violations?"

Another aspect of pursuit may lie with the origin of the foreign object. What type of feather was it? Can the origin of the feather be traced? This may open another avenue for redress.

Does your case involve consumming a salad at a restaurant in Maryland or Pennslyvania? Pennslyvania law may differ.

I am available in either event; however, a motion pro hac vice may need to be filed for my representation in Pennslyvania court action. If you wish to further pursue the matter, call me for a free initial discussion.
