Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland
About Adjustment of Status
This coming july 1st is my second year here in the united states and I haven't file for adjustment of status yet,what is my chance of getting deported? do I have time limit for my stay here in the united states if i'm not a permanent resident?

Re: About Adjustment of Status
It depends on what is your current status now. If your authorized stay has expired and/or if you are out of status, you may be deported anytime. However, if you qualify for adjustment of status, you may adjust while in deportation proceedings in front of the immigration judge. If you are not a spouse, child or parent of the US citizen, and you are out of status, you may not adjust your status.
