Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland
My boyfriend and his family is having a problem with their legal status; their sponsor somehow stopped the sponsorship. Their documentations are also canceled after 5 years of citizenship... which I don't understand because I thought once you're a citizen you stay a citizen.
My boyfriend also wants to get engaged. Since I am a natural citizen, is this the only option he has?

It sounds as if your boyfriend's family may be victims of some sort of immigration scam because citizenship is not simply "cancelled" and usually involves a deportation order. I would need much more information in order to determine whether or not your boyfriend is eligible for a green card based on marriage to you. I would urge you to contact a good immigration lawyer who can look carefully at your boyfriend's situation.
