Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland

Clearing my name from a DUI case so I can apply for a visa.

Hi,

I was arrested on DUI or DWI charges, can't remember, back in 2003. My lawyer decided it was best to go for voluntary deportation. We went to court and agreed to voluntary deportation, and the judge set a date to leave the U.S. by. I left before the date and tried applying for a student visa 2 months later. The embassy here is so overcrowded and slow that at the end I just gave up. They say they want proof that I left the States before the date issued. I'm just tired of going and dealing with them; it's a complete waste of time. My question is can I have an attorney clear my name from over there? and does my case have any affect on obtaining a visa, whether student or tourist?

Thanks alot, I appreciate it.

Only the U.S. consulate in your country can issue the visa. You may either request a waiver of any inadmissibility issues with the consulate or seek advance consent from the Immigration Service in the U.S. for permission to return. In either case, representation by an attorney would be helpful.

Please feel free to contact our office for more information on retaining our services.
