Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland

Filing I-485 by a approved asylee with INS arrest record (Violation of Status).

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good Afternoon!

It's my great pleasure to know about your organizaiton and services to human beings around the world.

My political asylum case was approved just 1 year ago and now I am trying to file I-485 by myself. I have completed everything but I am confuse about 1 question.

I was arrested by INS officer because of I was working without work authorization so I voilated my student visa but later I applied for potical asylum and in Nov. 2006 Immigration Judge approved it.

Now, I don't have the NTA copy or arrest record given by the INS official but I want to mention this arrest on my I-485 application. As per the application instruction they need original or court certified copy. Since this arrest is civil case (immigration), is my statement or affirmative (Yes) answer enough evidence to them? Could you please advise me what would the right and appropriate procedure. Additionally, if the copy of arrest is needed how I can get it again?

I am also going to attach my statement indicating my arrest.

Thanking and anticipating your kind cooperation.

Sincerely,

Kumar, Maryland.

I would write or call the office of the clerk or administrator of the immigration court that issued the NTA and ask for a copy of the case's disposition.

If that happened to be Baltimore, Here's the name and address:

Administrator: Brenda Cook

George H. Fallon Federal Bldg.

31 Hopkins Plaza, Room 440

Baltimore, MD 21201

LawGuru doesn't allow phone numbers to be posted in the usual manner, so here it is in English: Four One Zero Nine Six Two Three Zero Nine Two.

Good luck!
