Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland
Hi. i am a j1 visa exchange visitor. my visa already expired but i have the 30 day grace period to prepare to go back home. i dont want to go back i want to stay here. How can i fix my documents unless i get married? If i get married after 3 years would it be possible for me to fix my documents? Is it possible the immigration to look for me and find me and send me home? If any one knows something about this please let me know. i have 28 days left before i make my decision. thanks to every one that will help me.

Getting married is an option for you. You would be able to get a greencard immediately if you marry a U.S. Citizen. Do you have any relatives that are U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents? Have you been the victim of any crime? I would need to speak with you to determine the best strategy for helping you stay here.
