Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maryland

I want to marry my illegal boyfriend...is there any hope?

My boyfriend entered the US with a tourist visa in 2002. He tried to extend the visa but the court said no and issued deportation papers. He left the country as told, but then came back illegally . Now in 05/04 the INS guys are looking for him to see if he really returned to his county. which he did last year, but when the INS showed up at his old residence, one of the people that lived there told them that he had seen him a couple weeks ago (so now they probably think he never left). Anyways, We want to get married. How do we do it legally and most beneficial to him. Will he be barred from the country for 10 years? Do we get married here or there? is there any hope for his legal mess?

The facts in your case are not favorable. If you were to marry, he might be able to get a waiver and permission to reenter. He would have to leave the U.S. first and apply for these from abroad. If he has been illegal for more than a year, then that complicates things even further. You should have an attorney review your case before anything is filed.
