Re: Rape Case

First of all, are you talking about an immigrant who has status in this country, or a nondocumented alien? okay, let's presume you are talking about someone who is here unlawfully, without documents. If she is the victim of a perpetrator who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, and she has filed a complaint with police, she should immediately contact an immigration attorney to file a petition that may protect her, the victim, from deportation. This is important. She should not be deported for reporting a crime of which she is a victim. The price for this protection? That she testify against this perpetrator and help put him away! Contact an immigration attorney quickly. Good luck!
