Who should claim for Pain and Suffering ?

I was recently involved in a car accident (hit and run) and suffered whiplash injury and feel pain in the neck and head even though 2 weeks have elapsed. I got a CT Scan done and it seems to be normal. My insurance company is handling the case under Uninsured motorist coverage. Should I claim for Pain and Suffering ? as I do not know the extent of the head injury and it might be more than what I think at this point.
