Legal Question in Insurance Law in Maryland
My husband divorced his ex-wife and has to pay for his 18 year old son's health insurance. My husband works at a place with no insurance, so he is insured under me. His ex-wife has been offered insurance at her job but refuses because it's 'too expensive' (yeah, that's because of people like HER). Do I have to put him on mine also, or should she be made to get insurance and my husband pay his son's portion?

If the divorce decree says that all the ex-husband has to do is pay for the son's health insurance, that's ALL he has to do. You cannot force him to take on health insurance for himself so that he covers the 18 year old's as well. If you have an problem with the current arrangement, then go back to Court and ask for a modification of the child support order so that it specifically addresses this situation.
Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.********
