Legal Question in Insurance Law in Maryland
Insurance Claim-Auto
My wife was involved in an accident six months ago. The insurance company representing the driver who hit my wife's car is asking us what amount we are looking for to settle the claim. WHat is the process for deciding what a''fair'' settlement is? Thanks

Generally, a lawyer that you would hire with experience in these matters will weigh the varuious facts and come up with an estimate of what the case is worth.
Re: Insurance Claim-Auto
Your wife should speak with an attorney. Her injury, medical care, health condition, age, occupation, impact/collision, and other aspects apply. Insurance coverage as well as lack of insurance are other matters to be considered. Other facts may pertain to the driver at fault.
