Legal Question in Insurance Law in Maryland
Two different insurances, two claims for one incident?
I freight shipped my motorcycle to my new address. During shipping it was damaged. Shipper paid damages but my motorcycle insurance company gave me a quote on a claim that I have not yet filed. Is it fraud to claim it on my insurance if the shipper has already paid out?

You cannot recover twice for the same insured event unless each policy does not contain a subrogtion clause. An attorney would need to see each policy.
Insurance companies seek to recover damages in most instances from other sources. This said, they must also pay on the coverage that is issued.
Contact an attorney for assistance with legal matters.
