Legal Question in Insurance Law in Maryland
Is it legal for an employer to take money from an employee for a deductible on the company vehicle? If so should it be collected at the time of the repair to that vehicle? What if they don't repair the vehicle?

The law strictly limits what deductions can be made from an employee's paycheck. If the employee was responsible for an accident the company may have some basis for a claim against the employee. However even if there is a basis for claiming some reimbursement this generally cannot come out of a paycheck without some written agreement signed by the employee.
