Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Maryland

We discovered online content which has been deleted approximately 7-8 years ago while legally crawling websites with an online website archiver.

Nobody knows the author's name or how they can be contacted.

Is it legal to reupload the unknown owner's content without permission which cannot be obtained?

Maryland's statute of limitation is 3 years for general claims and upwards to 12 years for specialties.
