Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Maryland

I have prototype backpack which have Disney cartoon images. I intend to pitch my idea at kickstarter crowdfund campaign. Can I be sued for intellectual property infringement?.

Yes, unless Disney (or the entity owning the copyright in the Disney images) grants you the right to reproduce the work and perhaps (depending on how you use them) to make derivative works from them. Disney has a reputation for vigorously enforcing its rights (and some say the company goes overboard). There would also likely be a trademark infringement claim. Pitch the idea out of your mind.
