Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Maryland

How do I quash a subpoena? Do I need to visit the court that is hearing the case? Are the forms available for me to mail in?

My ISP recently informed me that there has been a subpoena issued for my identity by a party filing a lawsuit for allegedly downloading content.

There are no forms to quash a subpoena. You would have to file a petition with the Court, who would then likely call a hearing to determine the validity of your petition. Your best option would be to hire a Maryland attorney who has experience in ISP/piracy issues to represent you.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******

As a Franchise Attorney I entirely agree with the other attorney. Litigation is complex, and intellectual property only complicates this. You need to hire an attorney as soon as possible. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
