Legal Question in International Law in Maryland
Providing power of attorney to spouse
I would like to provide power of attorney to my spouse to deal with a legal issue in India. I have to send this by tomorrow and I would like to know if I have to get any Notary on the forms or would it be sufficient if I simply download the forms being offered over site to make appropriate modifications and send the word document in email to my spouse? Look forward for the consultation in this regard!

To make things certain and clear, you should notarize your signature and get an Apostille from the Secretary of State

Notaries power of attorney duly signed and witnessth on required stamp paper is valid . You may for drafting purposes download the form and thereafter prepare according to your reqirement. It is better to engage lawyer in this regard. If you want you may contact me.
