Legal Question in Investment Law in Maryland
Re: Recovery of an investment
If I invested in someone and they lost my investment and I sued them and won what actions can be taken to procure receipt of my investment from them? If they file bankruptcy what can I do to procure my investment?

The judgment you receive can be used as a lien against their assets. However, a lot will depend on who you are suing. If the investment vehicle was the individual's company, you sue the company. If they are an investment advisor, you may sue them on misrepresentation and have the judgment serve as a lien on their personal assets.
