Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland
I applied for a position that required a security background check. I was told that as long as my background checked out then I would get the position. However, they called one of my ex employers and the HR department told them I never worked for them. With the false information that was given I was not given the position. I explained that I did work there and the company was incorrect. I was informed that the decision was already made and I would not be able to get the position with that company. What can I do legally regarding this matter (my ex-employer should be responsible for making me lose this position)? Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

If your ex-HR made an honest mistake, you are out of luck.
Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
