docking paychecks
Is it legal for automotive sales management to set up a tier incentive plan based on customer feedback that will deduct up to a possible amount of 1000.00 from the salesperson's pay if required tier is not met. No sales associate has given consent with signature. Income is 100% commission

Re: docking paychecks
Such an agreement may be enforceable where it is accepted as a customary practice of the establishment by its salesforce. If this is new then it is not a customary practice and would require acceptance for the agreement to be binding.
If the business is attempting to short you on commissions then this is a matter subject to Maryland's wage payment statute.
A company may change its policy with regard to payment of commission based wages.
