Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland

Employee deduction from paychecks

My employer has decided to take the cost of the "empolyer share" of my health insurance out of my paycheck because I had an operation and was out for a month. Can they do this? Can they take it out in one lump sum in my next paycheck?
