Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland
My employer called me on Friday and said "your on administrative leave". they did not say wither it was paid or unpaid or why they were doing it. Do they have to say if it is paid or not and why you are being placed on it. from Baltimore, MD

It depends on who your employer is. For instance, is your employer the government? Ask your employer in writing (email is fine) what reason you are on leave and whether you are being paid (and given benefits, if applicable) during that period. If you are not paid on your next pay period, then you will know. If that happens, consider filing an unemployment claim.
Best of luck.*******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
