Does my employer have the right to withhold my paycheck and refuse to tell me if I'm fired or not

Withholding a paycheck is very problematic and may violate Maryland's wage & hour law unless a legitimate (legal) basis exists for not paying. However, an attorney must have more facts before determining whether or not you have a claim. You may wish to discuss this in more depth with a Maryland attorney of your choosing.
