Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland
i quit my job and gave notice. My employer held my last paycheck until they were satisfied that I had returned all company property and work product. They are now refusing to give me the last check and asking me to give back 6 weeks pay. Do I owe them anything?

Did you return the property and work product? The general answer to your question is that the employer cannot hold your last check unless there is a valid lawful reason. It is further highly unlikely that they request amounts already paid back outside a court order. However more facts are needed before one can say conclusively yes or no.
