I woud like to know of it is really legal for a company to search through a credit report of a potential employer? and if it is what is the title of that law?

Yes, it is legal for an employer to run a credit check on a potential employee, as long as that employee first consents to the credit check. If you don't want to consent to a credit check, you are absolutely within your rights to refuse. However, the employer is absolutely within its rights to deny you employment if you refuse. No law needed to allow employers to do this -- we live in a free country and if employers want to run due diligence on their employees before hiring them, that's their choice.
