Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Maryland
My ex-boyfriend is an occupant and has a protective order against me that kicked me and my kids out of the home. I acquired the home before I met my ex-boyfriend. The protective order gave him possession of my home for one year. I filed a wrongful detainer for his eviction. Can the judge grant him my property even if he is not on my deed/lease? He is an occupant not a tenant there was no agreement. He is hidding behind the "Possession" from the protective order. The protective order protects him from me, not from being evicted. Please help!!! We are in the state of maryland. can you provide a statute law?
