Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Maryland
My family is relocating to a different state and we need to break our lease. Our lease states that since we are non-military we need to pay two months worth of rent and give 60 days notice. The military early release is one month rent and 30 days notice. When we moved in, the former leasing agent gave us a military discount since my husband had just recently separated from the military. Wouldn't this qualify us for the military early release since we are getting the military rate for rent?

Generally a military release only applies if a tenant gets military orders that force relocation.
