What happen if plaintiff or the dependent do not appear in a complaint affidavit merit trial

If a DEFENDANT does not appear, then the plaintiff usually gets the judgment they seek, i.e., the plaintiff wins. When a PLAINTIFF does not appear at trial, the case is usually dismissed, i.e., the defendant wins.
