Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Maryland

im renting a property on a month to month basis and i didnt sign a written lease when i moved in and my landlord told me last week i have to be out by Dec 1st i havent paid October's rent which my rent is due the 15th of each month because im saving to move out! Just yesterday my landlord left me a nasty message on my cell phone and stated that if i didnt call him back by the end of the day that he would put my belongings out and change the locks so i called him back but only got his voicemail. I want to know what my rights are!
