Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Maryland

If I sign a lease for my son for a one year lease for a townhouse in maryland, and he got into legal trouble with the police at the townhouse, would I be at risk being the lessor but not living there?

YES! If your son is, say, selling drugs out of the house and you know he's doing it (b/c he just got arrested for it), then you can be held liable as an accomplice. You are supplying a place for him to go into trouble. Get your son out immediately.
