Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Maryland

After three years of complaining about the lack of heat in winter, several trips to my home by my landlords heating and cooling people - I found out that everytime I switched from cool to heat on the digital thermostat it was actually operation both heat and AC at the same time. I sufferd extreme financial strain over the three years due to the high Gas & Electric bills. I told my landlord that something was wrong with the heat the first year I was here. He would send someone out,and they would never find anything. They would ask me what was the problem. I told them thermostat was shutting down after reaching 80 degrees. then it would come back on reading 188 degrees and go back down to about 70 degrees. It was not regulating at all. I was told that it was impossible for that to happen. I just had the same problem again. A heating and cooling guy came out, he said the air-conditioner was coming on with the heat. He fixed it. What can I do?

Start by not renewing your lease. 3 years? I can't imagine that your lease lasts longer than a year. Let it go and move on with you life.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
