If someone pays my bills without my approval.am i liable to pay them back.......thank you

"It depends." Generally speaking one is not responsible to repay gifts and if someone gratuitously paid bills as a gift, there would be no need to repay. However, there is a legal doctrine that allows someone to get back money for things of value if the person who benefited said nothing under circumstances where it would be unfair to keep silent and get the benefit.
