Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

"Allergy" to hair coloring product

My hairdresser applied a coloring product to my hair that has caused all my new hair growth to come in pure white. My hair had been auburn with less than 5% gray before he used this product on me in late July. Do you have advice on what this reaction is termed and how other suits have been settled? I have been both physically and emotionally devastated by this and face a lifetime of hair coloring or wig expenses.

Re: Hair Damage

I have handled several hair damage/hair loss suits over the years. Although I am unfamiliar with the specific reaction you suffered, given the ability of chemical hair products to cause severe damage to hair if improperly applied, it would not surprise me. It will be necessary to have a doctor (preferably) or hairdresser who is able to testify (with some documentary backup) that your problem was caused by the hair dye.

If we can help, please feel free to call me at (301) 924-4400.
