Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

I was in a car accident and was rear-ended by a truck. The other insurance company is claiming me at fault due to the driver's statement, while my insurance is stating that the truck driver was at fault. I also went to the doctor and was instructed to receive physical therapy due to pain and was given a note stating I can receive two days off of work. However, I'm worried about missing work due to my workload. If I still go to work but forward the doctor's note stating I can take two days off, will the other insurance company hold it against me for my personal injury claim if I still go in to work?

The other insurer will surely discount the significance of your injuries if you disregard a doctor's recommendation that you take time off from work to heal, even if it's just 2 days. Even someone with a seemingly sedentary "desk" job engages in physical activity just moving around and getting up and down which can aggravate or exacerbate a soft tissue injury. At least make sure you follow through on the recommended treatment and don't miss appointments unless it's unavoidable.
