Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Drug overdose

In October s doctor prescribed me twice the normal dosage of a drug. I became ill at work and could not do my job. I missed 56 hours of work. I was told by a pharmacoligist nurse practitioner that I was being poisoned. I was so ill that I even had visual hallucinations. Is this serious enough for me to contact a lawyer?

Re: Drug overdose

If you haven't experienced any lasting side effects, it probably isn't worth pursuing this. Medical malpractice cases are very difficult and expensive. For example, you would have to hire a medical expert who would be willing to testify that the dosage prescribed was negligent and not within accepted medical practice. Unless you can find a lawyer who would not expect you to pay these kinds of expenses, the amount you would recover even if successful would not justify this expense.
