Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

I have a partial garnishment of pay to settle a judgement from an Automobile accident in 2005. Initially, I was getting a monthly accounting (balance), then it stopped after 6 months. My question is, Why did they stop sending and accounting or balance sheet? They have not stopped taking the money out of my pay check. I would think this is required.

There is no requirement that you receive an accounting. You should contact the attorney or party who is garnishing your pay and discuss this. You should also keep your own accounting to protect yourself against an excessive garnishment. However, MD judgments bear interest at 10%, so you will need to factor that in.
