Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland
Hello my question is if I had work done to my suv brakes and a front end aliment in july now in october I need 4 new tires due to the aliment was either never done or done incorrectly I have all receipts where I paid in full for the services can i file a claim in small claims for services i never received and for the tires and aliment I now have to get and replace. What are my options and steps that I can do to get reimbursted.

You can file a small claims action but these cases are difficult because you would need to present testimony from a mechanic who has examined your alignment and is able to state in court that the failure to either do the July job properly or at all is the cause of the need for tires. Then there would be the issue of how to value the need for new tires since presumably the tires weren't new in July. Wheels can go out of alignment just by scraping a curb on a turn or by hitting a pothole or other obstruction. If the shop where you had this work done is reputable you might try negotiating with them to see if are willing to do something for you, if only as a good will gesture.
