Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland
Settlement doesn't include all medical expenses
I had a five month lapse in my medical treatment after a car accident. The insurance company is refusing to include any of my medical bills after that time as part of the settlement. Is this legal? Is it the person's right to seek treatment as needed within a reasonable time frame?

the insurance company can and do do whatever they want. their only desire is to deny or minimize your claim and put money in their pockets and not yours. our job is to get you the most, their job is to give you the least. you need an attorney to fight for you and take it to court. we can help. please call

What treatment occurred previous to the lapse? I would need to review medical records of your injuries and understand your overall medical condition as well as know of other details.
You should speak with an attorney for advice as to whether a complaint should be filed in Court.
