Stacking of Insurance Polices Among Joint Tortfeasors

If the Plaintiff obtains judgments against two tortfeasors, is it possible to stack automobile insurance policies?

Stacking insurance policies

The answer is yes. If both are liable jointly and severally, each one's policy will kick in up to the policy limits or the extentof damages. No double recoveries, of course.Between them, there are rights of contribution,but you don't have to worry about that exceptthat in settling, if you settle with one so asto cut off a right to contribution, you loseany rights against the other -- CAREFUL here,particularly in MD.
