Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

statute of limitations

How many years is the statute of limitations in Maryland, for a personal injury claim? Every state seems to be different, and I don't want to miss a statute. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Re: statute of limitations

Generally 3 years, but there are circumstances that could lengthen or shorten it. See a lawyer sooner rather than later to be safe.

You should see a lawyer to be sure that the MD SOL applies as well as for evaluation of the circumstances.

3 years.

However, if your claim is against the government, you must notify them within 180 days of injury.
