Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland

Can I still sue if I have a learning disability? I didn't receive good medical care and found out months later I really was sick and had an injury which the doctor could have found(its been five years since that happened) and I am still in pain.

The statute of limitations requires that such suits be filed within 3 years of the date that the claimant (you) discovered or reasonably should have discovered the injury or problem which he/she alleges was the result of the failure of the doctor to properly care for him/her. Your learning disability might affect the discovery date described above, but it doesn't extend the 3 yr deadline. If you were under 18 when the claim arose, you would have until you turn(ed) 21.
