Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maryland
vma settlement
how much should one settle for if you were in a vma. I was rear ended by another car and had bumper damages and i suffered neck, shoulder and midback stiffness and headaches, I drove my self to the ER to be evaluated. I had head and neck xrays, which were normal. I was told to rest for a few days and follow-up with my pcp. I still get headaches sometimes. Loss wages, hospital bills, and auto repairs was paid by the other ins.co.
now they ask how much should i settle, bodily injury and pain and suffering?

Re: vma settlement
It sounds like you're still have residual effects from the accident, and should therefore consult with your doctor. It was a mistake to submit your bills, etc. to the other insurance company (except for the repair bill to your vehicle), because your case would have been better presented if you had waited until your doctor released you or until you were completely back to normal. Without knowing more details, such as the amount of your bills and how long ago the accident happened, it's impossible to place a value on your settlement. You should have hired an experienced personal injury attorney for this, who could have negotiated an optimum amount for you.
