Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

I allowed my brother to store his furniture, clothing and other personal items in my garage for over 3 years for free. I sent him a text message on January 2, 2010, asking him to remove his items from my garage by April 3, 2010. He resides with my sister and told my sister to tell me "ok thanks". My question is, can I legally remove his items without worrying about him trying to sue me? I reside in Prince George's County Maryland.

Yes, but before you do this you should protect yourself by telling him after the deadline what you plan to do with it--that you will consider him as having abandoned it under the circumstances and will dispose of it.
