Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

Buyer will not pick up property (boat)

On 4/19/06 I sold my 24 foot boat on ebay. Today is 9/20/06 and he hasn't picked it up. He has paid in full for the boat. I have called, left messages, told him it needs to go,etc. In the past 3 months he has replied to one phone message saying he will be down to get the boat on a Sunday, in late July, but never showed or called. I want the boat out of my driveway, what are my legal options?

Re: Buyer will not pick up property (boat)

Contact the buyer in writing (certified letter, email, or best, through an attorney.) Give him a deadline for picking up the boat, after which you will either put the boat in storage at his expense or re-offer it for sale. Of course, if you do the latter, you'd have to refund all or part of his money, depending on how much the resale was for.
