Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

cancelling lease agreement

I am a landlord in the state of MD. I have a lease agreement with a tenant for 6 more months. However, due to financial issues I must sell the property. I am using a standard MD lease agreement and no where within the lease does it state that I can or cannot terminate the agreement early. If I provide the tenant with 60 days notice, am i violating some type of law or legal binding?

Re: cancelling lease agreement

You must honor the lease since your lease doesn't provide for early termination upon the sale of the property.
