Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland
I have a Confessed Judgment/Lien against a property in Maryland. The homeowners are now delinquent in payments and the bank may foreclose. If this happens, am I still entitled to my money?

A foreclosure does not destroy the right of a judgment creditor to get paid. It may, however, impact a judgment lien against property. There is no "one size fits all" answer and the outcome will depend on the relative priority of the various liens, the type of lien in some cases and on the proceeds at any foreclosure sale. That being said, a purchase money lender foreclosing will wipe out most liens by judgment creditors.
While I hope this general legal information helps it doesn't substitute for getting personal legal advice and you may want to consult an attorney to discuss judgment collection options.
