Co-owner with brother

my brother has liens on the property in his name, i resently asked if i took his name off, would it help, the answer was no. i now would like to know if his filing for bankruptcy would help our situation, or do you have some other suggestion?

Bankruptcy will discharge his personal indebtedness to his creditors if he qualifies. Any judgment liens that attached to the property filed by discharged creditors should be released when the bankruptcy court enters the discharge. However,if any of the liens are secured, such as a mortgage loan or equity credit line, they won't be discharged.
